Inner Child  Month

 

 

 

 

This month inside the membership, we’re reconnecting with one of the most magical and tender parts of ourselves — our inner child. The part of us that still believes in wonder, loves to play, feels deeply, and longs to be seen and held just as we are.

So often, our inner child carries the emotions, needs, and dreams that were never fully met or expressed. When we take time to listen, nurture, and love this part of ourselves, something truly beautiful happens — we begin to feel safe, open, and more alive.

From a healing and neuroscience perspective, this is incredibly powerful work. When we connect with the inner child, we’re actually helping our nervous system feel safe again. We calm the brain’s stress responses, soften the amygdala (our inner alarm system), and strengthen the pathways that bring us back to regulation, connection, and joy. In simple terms — we’re rewiring our bodies for love instead of survival.

This month is an invitation to slow down, be gentle, and remember what it feels like to be you — before the world told you who you had to be. Through meditations, creativity, and reflection, we’ll let our inner child lead the way back to softness, authenticity, and magic.

 Connecting with creativity

In our second session, we’ll invite our inner child to express herself through creativity — the most natural language of the heart.

You’ll only need pens, paper, or colors, and an open mind. We’ll explore simple, joyful prompts like drawing your favorite childhood memories, moments that made you feel free, or little things that used to make you smile. There’s no right or wrong — this is about expression, not perfection.

Creativity is one of the most powerful ways to reconnect and regulate the nervous system. When we draw, color, or imagine, our brains shift out of thinking and into feeling — we activate the same pathways that bring safety, flow, and presence. It’s like letting your inner child take the lead, while your adult self holds space with love.

This session is about play, curiosity, and self-discovery. You might laugh, feel nostalgic, or even emotional — all of it is welcome. Allow your inner child to show you her world, and notice what she remembers about joy, imagination, and being fully alive.

You need: coloring pens, paper, and space to draw!

Inner Child

 For this session, we’re creating the cosiest space possible—blankets, pillows, candles, tea, soft lights. We will connect with our inner child and nurture her. From the comfort of your home, we’ll guide you on a gentle inner journey to connect with your inner child—the part of you that is pure, playful, and deeply sensitive.

Through meditation, visualization, and loving awareness, you’ll meet this tender part of yourself with compassion and care. This practice is about listening, soothing, and remembering the joy and innocence that still live within you.

Expect a safe and nurturing space where you can release old wounds, invite healing, and reconnect with a sense of lightness and love.

All you need to do is make yourself comfortable, press play, and let your heart open.

You need:

  • A picture of yourself as a child 
  • 15 minutes to prep your space beforehand (make it feel the safest, coziest and softest ever)
  • Light candles, wrap yourself in blankets
  • Pull out cosy pillows 
  • Bring your favorite hot drink
  • Journal and pen
 

 Honoring our parents

In our third session, we’ll explore one of the most tender parts of inner child healing — our relationship with our parents or caregivers.

So much of who we are today — our patterns, emotions, and beliefs — was shaped through these early connections. This week, we’ll soften our gaze and look at our parents not as the people who were supposed to have it all figured out, but as humans who were also doing their best with what they knew, what they’d lived through, and the tools they had.

Through reflection and guided meditation, we’ll practice seeing the good, remembering moments of love or care — however small — and allowing compassion to enter. This isn’t about excusing pain or denying what hurt. It’s about freeing ourselves from the weight of resentment and finding peace in understanding.

When we begin to forgive, our nervous system relaxes. The body moves from defense to openness. The heart starts to trust again. This is where deep healing happens — where we begin to parent ourselves with the love and gentleness we always needed.

Come to this session with an open heart and a willingness to see your story in a new light. You may leave feeling lighter, softer, and more connected to both your parents and yourself.
